About Me
I’m a project management professional with experience leading complex projects in global corporate, tech, and nonprofit organizations. Native to the Deep South, I’ve spent 12 years planting roots in NYC and consider myself a “Southerner of the North,” committed to the City and its people.
I first discovered how my talents could translate into supporting the world around me through my time volunteering at Emancipation Community Center in Houston’s Third Ward neighborhood. The spark I felt building community with folks outside of my everyday orbit was something I wanted to lean into, and this experience ultimately kickstarted my career in project management supporting mission-driven teams.
As a functional leader I believe the key to successful delivery is leading with empathy to earn trust from stakeholders, from the individual contributor to the executive suite. I value the process of building strong, connected project teams and establishing quality standards.
I aim to pour back into communities that I am a part of, and proud to have volunteered with Coalition for the Homeless as a career coach supporting their workforce readiness program, with Groove With Me as a dance teacher for young girls of color, and as an inaugural junior board member with Good Shepherd Services, one of the largest and oldest non-profits in NYC.
